Recognition of Palestine by Norway, Spain and Ireland lacks legal or moral justification.

On Wednesday 22nd May 2024, in a move well coordinated amongst them, the Prime Ministers of Ireland, Spain and Norway announced that they will be recognizing the Palestinians’s Palestine as a state.

The Norwegian PM Jonas Gahr Støre said that such recognition “is an investment in the only solution that can bring lasting peace in the Middle East,” a Palestinian state was “a prerequisite for achieving peace in the Middle East” and that “there can be no two-state solution without a Palestinian state.”

The Spanish prime Minister did not fail his own part of the plot when he announced that come 28th May, his nation is going to be recognizing that same Palestine as a state.

He accused Netanyahu, of presiding over massacres.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu is still turning a blind eye and bombing hospitals, schools, homes. He is still using hunger, cold and terror to punish more than a million innocent boys and girls – and things have gone so far that prosecutors at the international criminal court have this week sought his arrest for war crimes.” “This recognition is not against anyone, it is not against the Israeli people,” Sánchez said. “It is an act in favor of peace, justice and moral consistency.”

The Irish PM acted his own part.

“From our own history we know what it means: recognition is an act of powerful political and symbolic value,” Simon Harris said at a news briefing.

“Our message to the free nations of the world was a plea for international recognition of our independence, emphasizing our distinct national identity, our historical struggle and our right to self-determination and justice,” he said. “Today we use the same language to support the recognition of Palestine as a state.”

“I want to know in years to come that Ireland spoke up, spoke out, in favor of peace,” he added

When asked whether recognition of Palestinian statehood would empower Hamas, Mr. Harris said: “Hamas is not the Palestinian people, and here in Ireland, better than most countries in the world, we know what it’s like when a terrorist organization seeks to hijack your identity and seeks to speak for you.”  “Palestine is made up of people, decent people. So is Israel,” he said, adding: “I think right-thinking people around the world are able to differentiate between the actions of terrorists and the decent people of a state.”

And so, the Irish, Spanish and Norwegian leaders in a fell swoop, executed their plot to perfection.

Of course as it always happens with Israeli leaders when they are faced with these kinds of pressures, Bibi talked of how such move is a “reward for terrorism” and would not bring peace.

The Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz recalled Israel’s ambassadors to those nations and said, “I am sending a clear message today — Israel will not hold back against those who undermine its sovereignty and endanger its security.”……. “After the terrorist organization Hamas carried out the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, after it committed the most horrific sex crimes the world has seen, these countries chose to give a reward to Hamas and Iran and recognize a Palestinian state,”.

When the leaders of these nations were doing their silly political grand-standing and trying to pressure Israel by playing their recognition of this Palestine thing card, they used seeking for peace, justice, morality and empathy as a justification for their action.

First of all, their action has no legal leg to stand on. The same mistake that the UN, ICC and a host of other nations who because of their national selfishness made in recognizing a sham as fact thus losing any legitimacy to mediate or be trusted in anything they say as it pertains to the Israel Arab conflict is what these guys are making. Today the UN, because of pandering to the OIC and the Arab League voting bloc, has made a joke of their authority. Because of large voting bloc benefits, oil blackmail and embargo, the UN accepted the Arabs narrative which even violated their own charter as it pertains to the Jewish state of Israel’s rights to Eretz Israel. Today, the UN cannot walk back its shame and because of that, it continues piling pressure against Israel to become a scapegoat for their initial mistake. Joining that bandwagon today are the three nations of Spain, Ireland and Norway in recognizing a fraud as a fact. Today the ICC has no legitimacy, moral or legal authority to decide on Israel’s case or mediate since it accepted an illegality and recognized a Palestine as a nation when such is not obtained under international law.

The Montevideo Convention of 1933 gave specific criteria an entity must possess to be termed a state. If one does not fulfill that criteria, that entity is not a state and cannot be recognized as such. Recognition cannot accord that entity a state status in actual fact. The entity called Palestine has no sovereign authority as a state over the territories it is claiming to be situated on hence it is not a state. Another entity called Israel has and exercises such authority over those territories as theirs and till that entity called Israel gives it up in a treaty and hands it over to the Palestinians and their Palestine, it is yet to become a state. Recognizing that Palestine is a state is the same as recognizing that Finland is part of Russia. It is not fact, it is a wish. Recognizing a wish as a fact shows that these nations are biased and cannot be trusted to stand with truth at all in that conflict. They have lost their legitimacy. The Norwegians should know that recognizing such an illegality is not going to strengthen a process (which is not right by the way), it can only undermine it.

They said they were seeking for peace with that move. How did they get the idea that forcing the two state thing on Israel is going to be bringing peace? There is already a two state solution in that territory of historic Palestine. They are called Jewish Israel and Arab Jordan and these two states were separated from the historic Palestine and created in 1922 using the Mandate for Palestine document and the Memorandum of Transjordan. The Arabs took their Jordan which comprised 78% of the land, it never gave them peace and they still wanted more of the tiny 22% remaining for the Jews. Rather than accepting peace, the Arabs flooded the Jewish parts of the land and moved to steal it with the attendant pogroms and conflict which has raged since then. The Arabs in Eretz Israel can go to Jordan to create that their Palestine state that Oslo wants or maybe the Norwegians can go and give them the lands of the Sami indigenous people of Norway whose identity and culture they have destroyed. Give it to them to form that Palestine thing on but certainly not on lands belonging to the Jewish state in Judea Samaria and Gaza.

And what justice and morality is Sanchez and the Irish PM alluding to in their statements? Justice must be seen to be effected by standing by the truth and fairness inherent in a case and not on claims that has no basis or are utterly wrong.

Where is the justice in Israel giving up parts of its own tiny 22% of historic Palestine to the Arabs who not only have 78% of the land but also millions of vast hectares of land in the Middle East where they can form their Palestine on? Where is the justice in Israel giving up the land it owns indigenously, nationally and legally under the provisions of international law as specified under article 95 of the Treaty of Sevres, Mandate for Palestine document and which got affirmed by article 80 of UN charter to the Arabs now calling themselves a Palestinians who have zero claims to the above three rights?

It is pretty unjust for Spain, Ireland and Norway to hold on to their own territories but expect Israel to give up its own. When Norway gives up its claim to its lands after it fought for independence from Sweden in the early 19th century and give Oslo to Sweden, then it can expect that from Israel. When the Irish renounces ownership of Dublin, calls the British and gives them back the land after its war of independence in 1919, then it can expect that from Israel. When the Spanish gives up Madrid to the French after getting independence in 1808 from Napoleon, then it can lecture Israel. By the way, who the hell is Spain to talk to Israel about justice when it is still unjustly occupying Morocco’s Ceuta and refusing independence for the Catalonian and Basque people?

Where is the morality in expecting Israel to give up its lands to a group of people who hated it so much and has been calling for its demise for decades? It’s a skewed morality to call for Israel to give its own lands to a people who when they had the slightest opportunity, elected in Hamas who did October 7th which they cheered and praised. What kind of standard is such morality measured with for it to be that one will have to give up his own lands to his executioner as a moral act?

Surely Sanchez’s own definition of morality is absurd and I bet its only for the Jewish state of Israel. His decision is against the Jews, the Jewish state of Israel, and it is against the principles of truth, justice, fairness and even the morality he was claiming. Sanchez ought to know that wars cause casualties and that mostly, such casualties are not the reasons that military campaigns are stopped by the winners. Wars are stopped either on been recognized to be unjust, when victory is achieved or the losers surrender to the terms dictated by the winners. If Sanchesz is so desirous of saving those innocents Gazans, he should be pressuring either for Hamas to surrender or have the UN and Egypt move them out of Gaza to his Spain or Sinai or other areas till Israel sorts Hamas out. He cannot virtue-signal against Israel.

Also Harris should know that when given the chance, the Irish did not elect the terrorists but when given the chance, that his decent Palestinians elected Hamas.

And what empathy and morality was the Irish PM alluding to when he likened his call for recognition as same with that which the Irish did in asking the world for recognition after their declaration of independence? He damn well should be likening his people’s sufferings and struggle for independence with that which the Jews did to re establish their nation and get independence from foreign colonialism and occupation. How their country was colonized by the British was how the lands of the Jewish state was colonized by one empire after the other. How the Irish people got scattered all over the world due to oppression at home was how the Jews got scattered. How his Fenians and other Irish freedom fighters fought for liberation and independence was how the Jews have fought, prayed, and struggled for centuries to have their nation re established and independence achieved. How the British flooded Northern Ireland with Scots, Welsh and others to milk it was how the diverse empires flooded the Jewish lands with these foreigners and in recent times most of these Arabs calling themselves a Palestinians which they started doing in1964. Where did he get his skewed sense of history to align his case with the wrong party against the right one in that analogy?

And so, the move that the three guys did has zero to do with seeking for peace, justice, morality or empathy. It is just a part of the strategy deployed by UN and other interest groups to make Israel a scapegoat for their mistakes which they do not know how to walk back on.

Well, it did not work before and won’t work now.

Israel ought to answer them and it has zero to do with appealing to them and saying how their move will be rewarding terror or Hamas. They do not care.

Israel should unequivocally announce to the UN and the world that there won’t be anything like a Palestine in any land there from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean sea; not today and not ever. There won’t be any other state there apart from Israel and make it an open policy.

After the recalling of those ambassadors, Israel should inform these nations that they will not be allowed to open any office of any kind relating to the Palestinians as a nation or anything resembling it anywhere from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.  Israel should also close the office of every other nation recognizing a Palestine in Ramallah or any other parts of Judea Samaria. Let them go and establish that office or whatever they term it under any guise wherever they think that their Palestine is.

That ought to be the right response so that any time any other nation is doing that recognition crap, they will understand that the office of that entity will be one in their own country and another on the moon or wherever else but not in anywhere inside Eretz Israel.
